Good Safe Jobs with Good Pay
West Virginia workers deserve jobs that are safe, stable, and pay a living wage. Byron Tucker has spent decades working alongside miners, electricians, and union members across this state. He knows firsthand what it means to earn an honest living — and what it costs when those opportunities disappear.
Bringing Quality Jobs to District 49
Tucker will fight for economic development investments that bring real, lasting jobs to Nicholas County and the surrounding region — not just temporary work. That means supporting industries that can grow here, from energy transition jobs to manufacturing and skilled trades.
Supporting Small Businesses
Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy. Tucker supports reducing the regulatory burden on small business owners, expanding access to low-interest loans, and creating a business climate where entrepreneurs can thrive in rural West Virginia.
A Living Wage for Every Worker
No one who works full-time should struggle to pay rent, buy groceries, or keep the lights on. Tucker supports raising the minimum wage to reflect the real cost of living in West Virginia and ensuring workers have the right to organize and bargain collectively.
Protecting Worker Safety
As a retired mine inspector with MSHA, Tucker enforced federal safety standards that kept workers alive. He will bring that same commitment to the House of Delegates — fighting to protect workplace safety laws and holding employers accountable when they cut corners.
